Having been raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I have always loved the beauty of the outdoors, but my favorite vacation destination has always been the beach.  I was used to the rocky coastline of Washington State, where it is the rain that keeps it beautiful, and was an adult before I realized that beaches were supposed to be warm and have palm trees!  When I figured out that I could have tropical climates and palm trees in the same state in which I lived, I was in paradise.  I probably fit that well used phrase that says “I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as soon as I could.” 

I have been a Texas resident for more than half of my life, and my husband and I are blessed to now call South Padre Island home.  We vacationed on the island for years before we finally decided that it was time to make an investment that we could also enjoy - a practical investment in fun.  Many of our best memories with family and special friends were captured here on South Padre Island.  When we decided it was time to seek new business opportunities, we decided to do it in a place that we love – here on the Island.  So, we converted that investment made over 10 years ago, our own “piece of paradise”, from a great rental property into our primary residence.  

I became a CPA at age 23, and my experience includes over 30 years in business as a tax specialist in what used to be a “Big Eight” accounting firm, an executive in the hospitality and restaurant business and as a business owner.  From my past experience, I am conditioned to offer exceptional customer service whether as an advisor to my tax clients, a support service for business operations as an executive, or as the owner of a country inn providing an upscale guest experience.  My real estate clients get no less.  In addition, my strong financial background allows me to help my clients assess the full potential of a property.

I chose real estate here on South Padre Island because I believe it combines the challenges that I have always loved about my career choices to date with my appreciation of design and my love of the beach.  I am daily blessed have an opportunity to assist clients in finding their own right “piece of paradise”.
